Conspiracy theorists: Don't worry. I'm one of you, and I'm still not convinced. Microsoft sells patents, partners with Xiaomi: Microsoft sold approximately 1,500 patents to Xiaomi this week, signalling the start of what the two companies described as a "very big collaboration agreement." Additionally, Xiaomi has agreed to preinstall Microsoft apps such as Skype and Office on their factory-fresh phones and tablets. Sundar Pichai says Google will be "more opinionated" about Android phones: In an interview at code conference this week, Sundar Pichai mentioned that Google would have more input into future Nexus phones. This was initially a confusing statement, as Google already controls much of the Nexus process; Pichai explained that Google was looking at potentially incorporating more features in Nexus phones that were not part of the stock android experience. It appears the toggle reduces image size, stops autoplaying videos, and cuts down on any other data-heavy features. This flies in stark contrast to the "reduce battery" feature of the Facebook app, which isn't a toggle and seems to be on all the time. Brief Introduction Hey! Android Auto working in 2015 GMC Truck Posted: 07 Jun 2016 08:21 AM PDT I have a 2015 GMC Sierra. I did some research after finding out that the 2016 models would include Android Auto. GM was not planning on giving it to us in an upgrade but I found a company MVI that said they could do it. I ordered the parts and gave it a shot. I got everything installed and it is running as advertised. The normal GM Infotainment system even seems faster. What categories do you think still lacks a truly great android app? [Suggestion] Google Photos needs a way to quiclky find all photospheres I've taken Posted: 07 Jun 2016 03:34 AM PDT This shouldn't even be an issue. Photos knows when a certain image is a photosphere, so why can't we just search for "photosphere" and find them all? When I search for "photosphere" I get pictures of the sun and some bokeh photos, but no photosphere.
