Does the 5 year anniversary re-release of 'Tiny Tower' make anyone else miss 'Pocket Planes'?

Posted: 08 Jun 2016 10:09 PM PDT

Pocket Planes was a fantastic game. I loved it, and have missed it terrible since it was taken off of the Android app store.

With the success of the TT re-release, I am really holding out hope that Nimblebit will re-acquire the rights to PP from Mobage, give it a minor polish/update (mainly the display resolution), and release it once again.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Fun new hobby idea

Posted: 08 Jun 2016 03:37 PM PDT

Hey guys I recently got more into casual, fun-but-challenging, Android games and kinda formed a new hobby trying to get high rankings on the leaderboards in each game. I loved going to the arcade growing up (and still do actually) and always wanted to get my name on the high score to get fame and glory. Now with Google Play Game Services, that fame and glory is on the global level.

Just an idea to have fun and kill time.

Looking for input on mechanics of my single player CCG games

Posted: 09 Jun 2016 12:57 AM PDT

I plan my game to be a more classical one, like MTG, Hex, Hearthstone

  • Controls - currently the game uses tap controls, you choose a card and then select target or press a button to play/choose a mode

  • Should there be a graveyard like in some game? Adds more variety, but takes up some place, might be harder to balance.

  • Library - I don't play on full control, just things like draw a certain type of card or changing their attributes or adding more cards to it.

  • Animations - My plan is to make them instant, so you can play cards quickly, but still see something, with option to disable them for speed play.

  • Payment model - I would prefer the game to be buy to play, to make it fair and simple, but no one would probably play it. I don't want things like energy or forced ads. Maybe optional ones for some gold. Unlock cards with gold and being able to choose which to get. Like open 5, choose 2 for lower cost. There is the challenge to balance card speed earning versus giving players reason to keep on playing.

Turn off android gamer id

Posted: 08 Jun 2016 11:17 PM PDT

Is there a way how to turn off "create gamer id" thing? I see no reason to have it, but some games are constantly bugging me with it. It is annoying especially in games like Framed (why would single player two hours long game needed gamer id?).

PS4 Controller Not Working on LG G5.

Posted: 08 Jun 2016 02:34 PM PDT

I connected my Dualshock 4 (PS4 Controller) to my LG G5 phone via Bluetooth. The input device setting is on. It doesn't work on the phone though. Anyone know a fix for this?

Bonus: In the PS4 Remote Play app, i can't register the controller using the in-app register setting. When i touch it, nothing happens.

Piano Tiles 2, more depth?

Posted: 08 Jun 2016 01:28 PM PDT

Anyone else really love Piano Tiles 2 but want more depth? If the game had maybe four, six, and eight rows for more intricate game play instead of just four and also had a mode based on accuracy scoring I think the game could be 5/5. 100/100 even. I absolutely love playing the game at night before bed but it pains me to see how dull it actually can be.
