Is there a way to change the currency i want to use in play store?

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 03:42 PM PST

Games for me costs 2 GBP (british pounds) more than other countries, thus bully schoolarship edition costs 7 instead of 5, and i don't want to pay more than others for apps. (same with 1 dollar app costs 1.3 instead of using the correct currency)

Cause play store thinks my currency is 11 norwegian kroner for a dollar instead of 8.45 which it actually is.

So, is there a way i can change it to GBP or usd? CAuse this is outright stupid.

I'm looking for an app that pushes links to chrome AND from chrome.

Posted: 09 Dec 2016 08:19 AM PST

Obviously there would be matching chrome extension that would push links to the phone.

Any suggestions?

All of the ones I've found are one-way, either to the phone or to the browsers, but not both.

How to force the mobile version of a website on a tablet?

Posted: 09 Dec 2016 06:15 AM PST

hello, I'd like to know if it's possible to force the mobile version of a website on a tablet? When I try the m.siteurl.com it just ignores my request and keep loading the desktop version. It is really annoying because most of the time the desktop view is a nightmare on tablet. How can it be done please?

[REQUEST] Music player with good quality sound

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 02:41 PM PST

So I have been trying to find a good music player. I have tried the ones on the alternative community apps list, and a few others. Currently using MinimaPlayer, but I am not too impressed with the quality of the sound.Wondering which is a good one to try that I haven't. Others I have tried always stop playing when I put it into my pocket and can't figure out why. The only requirements I am looking for are:

  1. Good quality sound

  2. Ability to shuffle songs

I have tried: MinimaPlayer, BlackPlayer, Phonograph. Rocket Player, and Vanilla Music Player, and the others from F-Droid. If it has an APK, that would be a plus since I don't have Gapps. Thanks for any suggestions

Help me escape from Swype!

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 01:39 PM PST

I've been using Swype since its Symbian days and have grown totally accustomed to the way it works, its behaviour, its infinitely useful gestures for copy/cut/paste/select all (protip: these work even in apps where normal copy-paste actions are disabled such as Messenger's ChatHeads), and best of all, its wonderful recognition of my native language (Greek) in both swyping and speech-to-text modes.

HOWEVER, this thing lacks, like, thousands of features that other keyboard apps have, ranging from the simplest, like a number row or easy cursor control to the most advanced such as neural network predictions. Things like proper emoji support (with the skin tones etc) or extensions are unheard of for the Swype developers who haven't updated the app in about an eternity.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR is something like a supercharged swype. Ideally I'll be able to retain all of its useful features and just add others to the mix. I believe XDA has done something similar with Swiftkey, so it's not totally unprecedented. Or just suggest keyboards that may fit my needs!

(Reasons I don't switch to Swiftkey outright: I hate how it automatically adds a space after swiping a word, and moves to the next word suggestion instead of showing me other possibilities for the word I just swiped. No, I don't want your superawesome suggestion to pop up next, I most probably want the cursor to stay in my just-swiped word in order to correct it, as you didn't understand what I was planning on writing like 97% of the time. This is itself a problem, as its Greek language recognition leaves a lot to be desired. Plus it doesn't have voice recognition for Greek. Also I don't like the blue rainbowish line and prefer Swype's solid, sturdy orange. )

Looking for panorama app with full resolution stiching

Posted: 09 Dec 2016 05:11 AM PST

Pretty much all panorama apps seem to create very small pictures in the end. For example, when stitching together multiple 16MP pictures, result picture might be even smaller than single 16MP picture.

Is there an app that provides full resolution panorama stitching on the phone? I realize this is pretty CPU costly so I don't mind if app takes longer to process the image.

Messaging app that uses SMS or Data

Posted: 09 Dec 2016 05:02 AM PST

Hey guys,

Let me know if there is a better sub, but does anyone know of a messaging app that will use SMS primarily, but will use Data/WiFi if SMS is not working?

Downloaded Textra, thinking it did that, but apparently not :/...

Thanks.
