You just gotta love SwiftKey, especially when you're in a rush.

Looking for a simple app to make select/copy/paste etc easier

Posted: 19 Sep 2016 05:22 AM PDT

I used Fleksy for a while, but I liked the Google keyboard better.

However, one feature I really enjoyed was a toolbar for text editing. Now I have to touch-hold on a word, clunkily drag the edges of the selection and click copy. So I was wondering if there were any apps that add a toolbar for this or otherwise improve on the experience.

(question) Swiftkey vs google keyboard

Posted: 19 Sep 2016 08:23 AM PDT

I'm using google. I tried Swiftkey in the past, but I was a bit afraid of certain stories about people getting suggestions from other users and passwordsas suggestions (I know is probably the site's fault there, but never happened to me). Also, about how data is stored.

What do you think? Is it really safe to use? At the end of the day, now is up to trusting Microsoft over google?

I want to listen to youtube

Posted: 19 Sep 2016 03:00 AM PDT

So as the title says I want to listen to youtube and only listen. I know of some apps that specialize in music clips but I usually just listen to presentations conferences and podcasts. I also know of the website that help you download YouTube audio but the connection is never stable and for long videos/audio this means reloading the page. Since data cost a lot where I am located now i am looking for alternative to just stream videos.

Recommendations for news app.

I used to use Feedly a long time ago but don't know if it's still the best. Flipboard was too spammy and gave notifications even when I them off.

Can you recommend some good epub readers on Android?

Posted: 19 Sep 2016 07:57 AM PDT

I just bought a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, a rather out-dated one, but a 2560x1600 display at that price, I'd say it's worth it. Anyway, while waiting for it to arrive, I started looking for a good reader for it.

To be honest I've been away from Android for more than 4 years by now, the one I used to be happy with was Moon+ Reader, which was found not particularly what I wanted right now as I downloaded the latest version on my old Android phone to see how it looks these days.

I've been using Mac and iPhone for the last few years, but I never had an iPad, which was the major reason I settled with this Kindle tablet I'm buying. The point is, I've read dozens of epub books with iBooks, now I'm kinda addicted to the style that iBooks provides…

So, my target is actually pretty straightforward, is there any epub reader on Android that looks really close to iBooks on iOS and macOS?

[Help] Looking for a school/Class Timetable app

Posted: 19 Sep 2016 03:49 AM PDT

I would like one that could sync to the laptop if possible.

Device would be a Nexus 6 running a CyanogenMod 13 version of 6.0.1 but will be upgrading to CM 14 Nougat when it releases.

This keeps coming up when doing google searches does anyone have any experience with ? as reviews are a little mixed

Good news reader app?

Posted: 18 Sep 2016 10:33 PM PDT

I tried out the Google Newsstand app, but it was extremely frustrating. Google would really much rather use my search history to show me articles instead of giving me full control over my own preferences to select content. I couldn't fully filter things out and, as a result, it was filled with Trump and video games, two things I have no interest in reading about.

Short of just staying on reddit and using RES, what app can I use to get custom preferences for news?

FBReader Start Page

Posted: 19 Sep 2016 05:59 AM PDT

I use FBReader 2.7.2 on Android 4.4.2. Each time I open the app, it opens an introductory book about FBReader. Instead I would like to see the last book I was reading when I closed the app. How can I change the start page?

Which is the greatest browser you've ever used?

Posted: 19 Sep 2016 01:59 AM PDT

Puffin in my opinion puts every other browser to shame in terms of speed. It is not on the smoother side or doesn't have a great download manager but manages flash and videos extremely well. What are your recommendations?
