| Non-urgent Google Photos (on Android) question Posted: 22 Sep 2016 12:28 PM PDT Samsung Galaxy S5 here (Verizon) running latest stock OS and updated apps. My camera saves photos to my SD card. If I view photos in the Google Photos app and choose to delete them, I get this error:
This has always been the case, to my knowledge. Does anybody know why the Google Photos app faces this limitation? Why could Google not write this basic feature into the app? Now When I am moving files they are defaulting in the player to alphabetical order and not the play order. Anyone know how to fix this? Posted: 22 Sep 2016 12:05 PM PDT I can't figure out why this is happening, but when my phone is in day dream and I wake it I can immediately see a notification quickly slide off the screen and if I don't catch a glimpse at what it was, I will have to go searching for which app I have a notification in. We are getting laptops so the only thing we need the pc for is entertainment (youtube, netflix, other streaming). Now the Windows tv sticks are a little on the expensive side, so I was hoping there would be a decent Android box thats probably around the £40 or less mark that I can install Windows 10 on (more for familiarity and ease of use, so there isn't really any change to the UI as my partner isn't overly tech savvy)? So far, I tried a service where it sends your texts through a Jabber connection, which allows you to use the Messages app on Mac. The problem is you have to pay $100 for the full version of it. Plus I don't like the idea of my texts getting relayed through someone's random server. I also tried Google Hangouts. The problem with that is I couldn't find out how to send/receive sms from my computer. Let me know if you have any other recommendations. I wish Google Allo supported SMS/MMS! [link] [comments]  |
| Phone has been randomly rebooting for ages and I'm finally fed up with it. Posted: 22 Sep 2016 11:33 AM PDT ZTE N9132, Boost Mobile carrier. My phone will freeze and restart suddenly at random intervals, whether being actively used or unused, then turn off the screen, flash the notification light red, and return to the boot up screen. Sometimes after doing this, some apps will have returned to just installed (usually Twitter and Groupme, though I have chalked this up to storing them on the SD card). Also, I will lose all of my saved WiFi locations. I've done some research into the model, and while it seemed to be a battery problem initially, the proposed fix did not fix anything. | Posted: 22 Sep 2016 02:57 PM PDT I went through my phone because it was acting funny(not holding a charge, running very hot,lighting up for no reason, and being slow in general) but the most alarming thing was the odd quality of my video calls they were laggy and the quality was terrible and had was the sound you get when you rub something against the microphone that wasn't on the other end . I found two weird things in my file one was a folder that was called IPE and inside were some weird files that I couldn't open they were just numbers and letters. The other was a strange file that had html code and subscription status. I deleted both and then did an FDR. It's running fine now. I've checked my accounts and they're fine but I changed all my passwords. Should I get a different phone or am I fine? I'm usually pretty careful about my phone because I need it secure for work so I'm not sure how it happened. [link] [comments]  |

I've got chats where when receiving messages, they always come in bursts, so several messages in one minute and I really hate my phone beeping for every single one. Also, with whatsapp for instance, I even get notifications for other whatsapp chats even if I have whatsapp open. I don't need any whatsapp sounds when I'm already in the app. Surely, someone else has been bothered by this before and there's a solution? Thanks! tl;dr I want to rate limit notification sounds. Normally, in the APN menu, there is a blue circle on the right to indicate when an APN is selected. However, that circle is gone. How do I fix tis so I can go back on 4G again? My preference would be if he got a used OnePlus One, but I think he'll feel that is too large for his hands. I have a Moto E as well as my OnePlus One and other than the 1gb of ram and small storage that make this phone slow as hell it's just fine. I love the battery life on the moto e. So I am trying to find something small that doesn't suck under 5inch screen ~3gb of ram it's a really daunting task as every friggin phone seems to be 5 inch+ If he was not stuck on having a "small" phone this would be easy!\ Thanks for any suggestions/help [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 22 Sep 2016 10:16 AM PDT Hi people I love my Redmi 3 Pro except for its video recording capabilities When we want to record something in low light conditions, the phone tries to get as much light as possible, by lowering the frame rate On Cm13 ROMS, video recording is so smooth, it looks like if it was recording in 60fps I tried to change settings in media_profiles.xml, put the minimum frame rate to 30fps but with no success So I guess that it has to be tweaked in lib files, just like people did for the OnePlus X : http://forum.xda-developers.com/onep...0-fps-t3315382 Maybe some of you can let me know what files are related to camera properties, or even help me ? | Why won't Metro PCS offer the warranty and give me a new phone if mine doesn't work? Posted: 22 Sep 2016 07:24 AM PDT I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime I bought last December. It was great until around July and then it started acting up, restarting out of nowhere when I would open apps (I couldn't even load Chrome). Sometimes it won't send texts but it'll let me receive them and I have to wait 15mins-1 hour for it to fix itself. But the most major issue was that it was stuck on bootloop (of the Metro PCS logo) and I could NOT get past it. So I went my Metro PCS dealer and told him the issue and he referred me to Corporate. After driving cities over I told them my situation and handed the girl my phone. She asked me if I had downloaded anything onto it recently and I said no and apparently factory reset my device using my google account. Which, it did work, but it was still glitchy. The text problem came back; I'd have to ask my friends (on kik over wifi) if they could just text my phone about 10 times to see if it was on my end or not, and it always was. Their message would come through and mine would be pending. Last night, the only thing I did on my phone was text my boyfriend goodnight. I went to bed and woke up at 6am. My phone said searching for service and when I sent a text it said something like 'Your message will be sent when service becomes available.' I have never seen that before. So I restarted my phone and nothing happened. Still had no service. Took the battery out. Waited 10 seconds. Put it back in. And now my phone is stuck on the Metro PCS loading screen again. Because this is the SECOND time I have to go to corporate for the same exact issue; why can't they just give me a new phone? I do not have money until November. I don't want to keep going to this location 20 miles away every time my phone decides to act up. There's a reason I pay the warranty right? So why can't they do that? [link] [comments]  |
