Teeny Titans update!

Posted: 22 Sep 2016 01:31 PM PDT

Anyone tried the teeny titans update? It has 7 more figures and I can see harley is part of it. Will try them out as soon as I come home later. Any feedbacks would be appeciated!

Edit: It seems that my progress was deleted without me saving anything so I guess I'll start again. Lol

Modern Combat 5, short freezes due to loading, are the android internal storages "good sd cards" and not SSDs?

Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:22 AM PDT

TL;DR: in bold.

Reference post

I installed MC5 on the micro sd card (nvidia shield k1) and changing menus (from the main menu to the weapon menu, or to the credits menu, etc.) required often a bit of loading. Like the screen froze for 2-3 seconds and then I saw the menu and the animation properly.

In game, mostly when new players joined the game, I had freezes - likely due to loading the skin of the new players - lasting 5 or 10 seconds (it means certain death in the game during this time).

So I thought that the problem was the micro sd card, that I use as extension of the internal storage thanks to the feature offered by android 6.x . I did not have the problem with other games, except a bit with Blitz Brigade and massive games (100mb+) currently tested are World of tanks, Portal, Blitz brigade, MC5, angry birds go, neon shadow, monumnet valley, pixel gun 3d.

So, I thought that MC5 had additional requirements (the alternative is not so great loading module from secondary memory) and I moved it to the internal storage, assuming that the internal storage of the shield k1 would be faster than the micro sd card. The problems mostly disappeared but in game the freezing times fall from 5-10 seconds to 1-3 so are still there. Either the internal storage of an android tablet is just a good SD card (I thought were SSDs, I'm not totally clueless about IT but in this case I never checked) or MC5 has problems or my device has problems.

Anyone else with the same problems?

edit: i just read that sd cards have a range between 0.5 and 9 Mbyte/s of random reading speed and between 0.5 and 1.5 Mbyte/s of random writing speed, so maybe that is the problem.

Are mobile FPS games dead as a genre, or even playable without a controller?

Posted: 22 Sep 2016 06:25 AM PDT

I always found FPS games a little odd to play on mobile. Never played many of them as well, so there's that. Do you guys recommend any quality mobile FPS game, preferably with strong multiplayer emphasis and not pay to win? Also, I don't have a controller. Any thoughts?

Can't remember Title

Posted: 22 Sep 2016 08:40 PM PDT

As the title suggests, I can't seem to remember the title of the game. I do remember it coming out a few years ago though and I will try to describe it the best I can in hopes that someone knows the title.

ART It resembles Final Fantasy. I think the developer was Japanese in background.

GENRE It was quasi-TCG. Each character could level up and acquire skills. It was less about collecting and more focused on developing current characters. I should note that it did implement rarity in the form of letters: C, B, A, S, etc.

GAMEPLAY This is the interesting part. The gameplay isn't a card game, even if it is a TCG because the gameplay resembles something closer to a board game. The player drags a piece/card across a board. I don't remember the exact details of dealing damage but ideally, you would corner an opponent using 2 characters.

Also to not, there is a timer for each move so the swiping got pretty intense.

There was a stamina system and a premium currency system. STORY I don't remember much about the story except going through a themed maps. 1 of which includes a lizardman themed map where I remember that I hated dealing with lizard mages.

After that, I descended underground and faced magma based creatures.

When I say the art resembles final fantasy art, just go to google images and type in final fantasy art. That is the type of art found in-game.

I appreciate any responses!

Just as the title says, I`m trying to p|ay some Knights of Old Republic on my Nexus 5 and my d-pad is not responding at all. Does any one know a fix for this issue? My phone is rooted and I am using the controller in native mode with the Sixaxis app.
