NetGuard recommended hosts files? Posted: 04 Sep 2016 06:26 AM PDT I recently set up an android tablet for my grandmother. I am looking for one click comprehensive hosts she can easily update which hopefully includes Italian ads. NetGuard unfortunately doesn't auto-update from what I understand. So far I decided to use raw hosts file from hpHosts (hosts-file.net). Does anyone have any better suggestions? [link] [comments]
[DEV,FREE] Fondo - Make your wallpaper a source of information. Deals, channels, news and much more! Posted: 04 Sep 2016 08:53 AM PDT Fondo is an interactive live wallpaper that displays information on a simple, minimalistic, aesthetic wallpaper. It cycles through the providers you've chosen and changes a provider every time your home screen becomes visible. Google play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fondo Website - http://fondoapp.com The app is available for all Android mobile devices running version 4.4 or higher. Any feedback, suggestion and bug reports are welcome. Thank you. [link] [comments]
[DEV] Sun Locator - Augmented Reality app to predict the sun's location Posted: 04 Sep 2016 05:54 AM PDT Sun Locator predicts the sun's position at a specific location during the course of the day. The Augmented Reality feature displays the Sun's position directly overlaid on your device's camera. Use the slider to set the time of day and directly track the solar movement. Since this is my first app, I would appreciate any feedback and suggestions on how to improve it.

Looking for app working like Pocket but with dictionary Posted: 04 Sep 2016 07:56 AM PDT I am not native user of English, I need an app that let me save articles for later from browser. I use Pocket, but I found no way to integrate it with dictionary and it makes using it annoying. [link] [comments]
[DEV][FREE] Please review my app, i think it has potential Posted: 04 Sep 2016 05:31 AM PDT Hello, please try my game and tell what I can improve! Your goal is getting 0 on all numbers. Number is reduced every time you press on tile in its row or column. When you finish, just tap the button below. A lot of themes can be unlocked depending on your progress in the game. Gameplay is infinite! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stark.taptozero&hl=en [link] [comments]
Equalizer apps causing distortion? Posted: 04 Sep 2016 09:34 AM PDT I have tried installing several equalizer apps on my lg g4, but all of them cause very noticeable static during any quiet parts of any audio. Is there a fix for this, and if not is it a limitation of the phone, of the app, of my headphones, what? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

[DEV][FREE] First time developing an app please check it out! Posted: 03 Sep 2016 08:24 PM PDT Hello, this is my first time ever 'working' with java outside of school and I wanted to work on a project on my free time so I decided why not Android? This app is called "Alphabeti" and it's a quiz-like game where you answer questions about geographic topics that range from oceans to cities and if you get them correct you keep progressing. I plan to add more subjects but as school is beginning again, it's hard to find time. I know this isn't the most visually appealing app or the most technical but it definitely taught me a lot about Java, Android SDK, XML and Android Studio so I see this as a success. However, I am struggling to promote this app so if you can check it out at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alphabet.beckhaml.alphabet&hl=en I would appreciate it very much! All advice and criticism is appreciated! [link] [comments]

[DEV] Air Scan - A network monitoring app. Posted: 03 Sep 2016 10:44 PM PDT Hi Guys, I am the developer of Air Scan. I made it because I had the problem of identifying devices on my home network. I have more than 15 devices connected to my WiFi and I wanted a way to find out which devices were online at any point of time. You can use it on any WiFi networks. I also added a feature where you can tag and assign devices to their owners. Example:- I have named my TV as 'living room TV' in the app and whenever I scan my WiFi network, the app identifies the TV easily. Similarly, you can monitor your kids/users WiFi presence by tagging their name to their devices. This is a early version. Please bare with any niggles, issues. Constant improvements are always been made. You can download the Air Scan app for free HERE EDIT:- The app has banner ads from google. The in-app purchases are for removing the ads. All folders in the photos section of Google photos? Posted: 04 Sep 2016 01:25 AM PDT I am wondering if it is possible to have all my photos, from all the folders on my phone in the main photos section of Google Photos. Currently it only shows the Camera folder, and I have go to the side menu and hit device folders and search individual folders to get photos from other folders. This is literally stopping me from using Google Photos, which seems like an amazing app apart from this. So is that possible? [link] [comments]
Note taking app similar to Notability Posted: 03 Sep 2016 10:21 PM PDT I just started med school and I've realized that I'm going to need to take really good notes to do well. The problem is that I'm a messy writer and not very organized when I'm trying to take notes. The best way for me to go about it is to use the powerpoints that my teachers use for their lectures and just jot down notes right next to whatever it is they're talking about. I've used my friend's iPads to take notes on Notability and it's amazing. I love being able to zoom in to something and write big, and it's downright tiny when I zoom back out (but still legible!). It's also super organized and clean, with a great implementation of Google Drive and Dropbox (I mostly just need Drive). I LOVE my Xperia Z4 tablet and everything about Android, but I feel as though apps dedicated to academia are limited. Those that are there are just not comparable to iOS. I've tried LectureNotes and OneNote, but both have limitations. People swear by OneNote but I just think it's terrible. As far as I can tell, there is no way to import a Powerpoint and have OneNote turn it into a PDF that I can annotate on top of. Other than the two I've mentioned (LectureNotes and OneNote), do you guys know of any good note-taking apps on Android? TLDR: Is there an Android app that is similar in functionality to Notability on iOS? [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Sep 2016 04:43 PM PDT I'm looking for the option to do a per-application proxy. I am rooted and have xposed so there may be more options available. I've looked into the "per application hacking" xposed module and it doesn't seem to work. Anyone here know of other options? [link] [comments] |
