It's become kind of essential to my commutes, and now that I've recently gotten an Android Phone, I've been unable to find any alternatives so far, and I'm not in a position to get a Red subscription. During the day when I need a bit more battery faster I use a 1Amp charger and when I have to leave the phone to charge during the night I use the 550 mAh one. The question is..... Sometimes even when the phone is connected to laptop and its on charge and I am testing some heavy app. Battery level falls instead of increasing. Please download them (even one or few of them will help me) first to your phone from Google Play. Then use an app like AirDroid (open the link and click Apps, super easy) or oandbackup and copy the apks. Put them on some webhosting. Please don't just search for them in the internet, I don't trust pirate sites, they may have viruses. Anyone verifying the apks (or providing his'her copies) would be helpful too. I'll be grateful! It will not let me do it straight from the phone because it says there is insufficient space even though I've cleared around 15 GBs of space. I've decided to do it from the computer manually but I'm not sure of the details. Do I have to back up all my data first? | USB Hotspot loading HTTPS Web pages slowly/not completely Posted: 04 Sep 2016 07:20 AM PDT So I'm using my phone hotspot to connect to the internet via USB tethering and I'm finding that HTTPS webpages are loading extremely slowly, or not entirely at all. I've searched all over the web for solutions and I cannot find the answer. Strangely, some do manage to load. For example, youtube seems to load fine despite being a secure website. Twitch loads extremely slowly taking up to 10 minutes, and even not loading completely at all. I've tried changing the ipv4 to Google DNS servers and I've also tried changing the MTU value. I've reproduced the problem in Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Make of the phone is Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. What I want out of the phone is a good camera, good battery (no issues lasting the day), and quick performance when it comes to switching/opening apps. I also plan on keeping the phone for ~3 years so I need to to work well for a while. I am primarily looking for what is the best value. I am currently considering the Honor 5X, Xiaomi Redmi Pro (not yet released in US), ZTE Axon 7 (not yet released in US), Moto G plus, One + 3, or ZTE Axon 7. I'm up for any suggestions though. Side question, I don't know too much about the Android OS but will 2GB of RAM be enough for the next three years? | Should I use a custom ROM on my Moto G4? Posted: 04 Sep 2016 12:34 PM PDT Hey all. I am upgrading to android from iOS soon and heard about custom roms. I was an avid jailbreak user, but my phone bit the dust and I could have fixed it if I had file access, which apple locked down. So screw that, I'm going android. I don't have a lot of money, so I was looking at the Moto G4 (regular, not plus). It seems good for the money, and, well, way better than the 4s I was previously using. I heard about something called Cyanogenmod, and people seem to love it. But some people say use stock with xposed, based on the phone model. What should I do for my Moto G4? Stock? Stock with xsposed? Cyanogen? Or something else altogether? Thanks in advance? tl;dr: I'm upgrading my phone and I want to know if I should use a custom ROM for it or not. [link] [comments]  |
