Luckily I didn't update because now it's a subscription service! Time to find a new email client now.

EDIT: You can still use the app for free but premium features cost $50 a year. Yea ikr. I've uninstalled it anyway so not sure what the premium features are

I've also installed Alto and it looks and works amazingly well. 10/10 would recommend

[Dev] Ratings, Play-counts and Spotify! Oh my!

[Dev] Ratings, Playcounts and Spotify! Oh my!

Hey all! This is Justin, the dev for iSyncr and Rocket Player. I cannot stand that Spotify and Google Play Music plays don't count towards my play counts. If I hear a song I own on Spotify, I want iTunes to know about it and update my smart playlists. Further, I don't like that streaming music stations keep playing the same song, even if they should know I've heard it a billion times. So, as a side project to my full time gig, I've written an engine I call SongLytics. This engine stores all my play-counts and ratings in the cloud, and then allows me to inject playlists into Spotify, the cool streaming service with an open API. I'd love to support Play Music, but it is closed to third party developers for unknown reasons. However, I've written this app to log play-counts as aggressively as possible. It'll even try and match up a YouTube video play with Google Play Music play and a Spotify play.

Anyhow, here is a link if anyone else wants to try this out. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=spotify.music.playlist.maker

I do realize there are like fifteen steps to setup this app. If you have a technical way to lower the number of steps, I'd love to hear it. However, I'm not sure any exist right now.

App To slow down capacitive button response?

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 08:14 AM PDT

The capacitive buttons are a little hyper sensitive. I'd like something that adds a small delay before triggering the button action. Any apps that do this?

Any alternative to mIUI camera that does auto beautify?

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 08:03 AM PDT

The one feature that I liked the most in MIUI Camera is auto beautify feature which I couldn't find in any other ROM. Unfortunately, MIUI Camera is only compatible with MIUI ROM. So is there any camera app that has similar feature?

Spark Camera (ios) Alternative?

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 10:41 AM PDT

Hi everyone.

Want to move from my iPhone to GS6 / Nexus 5x.

Need a Spark Camera! alternative.

Spark lets you take a vid while holding on the display, and stitches all these parts. Even after weeks.

Anyone has an alternative in mind?

THANK YOU!

Need a DICE ROLLER APP that supports multiple custom rolls ...

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 04:08 AM PDT

I've probably tried over a dozen dice rolling apps (of which there are myriad) but can't find one that does exactly what I need it to do.

I need one that will allow me to not only name/save and do custom rolls (like CritDice or Dicebag), but I also need it to do multiple rolls at once, with separate results. For example, the macro abilities in the Roll20.net interface.

For example, I want to press one button -- let's say for my Eidolon's Attack Damage -- and show results for all the variations:

e.g. (cut/paste from my Roll20.net macro):

Ifirit CLAWS Damage Roll: 1d8 +7 +1

Ifirit CLAWS Damage Roll + Power Attk: 1d8 +7 +4 +1

Ifirit CLAWS Damage Roll Large: 2d6 +8 +1

Ifirit CLAWS Damage Roll Large + Power Attack: 2d6 +8 +4 +1

...

Has anyone ever seen an app that can do this?

Thanks, Tim

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the dedicated emoji button on SwiftKey?

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 09:30 AM PDT

Since the latest update, SwiftKey moved the emoji button from a long press on the enter to a dedicated button, wedged between special characters and the comma.

As a result, I hit the emoji instead of the number or comma. Does anyone know why they did this, or if there's a current version setting I can change? This is awful.

Here's mine

[DEV] Gym Companion - keep track of your progress

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 01:28 AM PDT

Hello Reddit,

I've released my first app, Gym Companion, a small, simple, ads free app, that helps you keep track of your body fat and measurements progress. I plan to introduce more features and I would like some feedback on what I've already implemented.

If you like the app, please rate/review it as well.

Got a remote sales job. What phone apps do you recommend?

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 08:36 AM PDT

I've snatched a remote sales position where I work from home. I have been given a monthly phone allowance and I am expected to work off of my smartphone. I am not that savvy with smartphones (as to why I am asking here).

What apps do you recommend? Are there any must have apps for home business and sales? I have a Verizon Note 4.

Is there a way I can switch my phone from a "Personal" line to a business line? Is there a way I can get a separate phone number for business needs and "switch" it off after work hours? Or would I have to call Verizon for that?

On an aside, I also own a windows PC. Are there any software/apps that can integrate with my desktop? Is there a way I can talk on my PC using my phone's number?

[DEV] Medicine Chest - control your medications in medicine cabinet

Posted: 13 Sep 2016 08:35 PM PDT

Once I opened the medicine cabinet and saw 3 started packs of the same drug and I realized that something should be changed. I searched in Google Play for an application that will help me to control what medicines I already have but all I've found have not enough functionality. As a result, I want to offer you my program Medicine Chest that will help you to manage your first aid kit.

Free features:

  • Medication storage with category, dosage form, storage place, expiration date, amount etc.

  • Search and sort medicines.

  • Notification about shelf life and amount.

  • Offline medicine database for faster filling medicine details.

  • Shopping list to track what you need to buy.

  • Medical reports to remember why you use specific medication.

  • Backup&restore your data.

Paid additional features:

  • Reminders about taking medicine. Allows to setup 4 different kind of reminders (hourly, daily, weekly and monthly) with automatic reduction of medicine quantity.

  • Barcode scanner. Allows you to add a new medicine by scanning its barcode.

Goal of the application is to help manage your medications. That's why you won't find instructions or other detailed description of medications.

If you need a medicine database for your country - let me know here or via feedback view in the application.

In plans I want to add synchronization between several accounts and search for nearest pharmacy. If you have any idea what could be added to the application - write it here. After 1 week I'll send promo codes for paid features to authors of the most interesting ideas.

Looking for a running app to help me Keep a steady pace

Posted: 14 Sep 2016 06:54 AM PDT

I do all my running on a treadmill, because I am terrible at keeping to a single speed when I run on the road. I either go too fast and burn out too quickly, or too slow and don't get enough of a workout. Most importantly, I spend the entire time wondering if I am going at the right speed.

I'm looking for an app that would allow me to enter a pace, and then give me some sort of audible warning if I went too fast or too slow. Does something like this exist?

Thanks.
