Twitter 6.14.0 alpha fixed the back button behavior! Posted: 29 Aug 2016 08:22 AM PDT Remember the new guidelines for up vs back buttons? http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/08/18/material-design-spec-adds-guidance-notifications-widgets-vs-back-behavior-august-update/
I think they listened! Now when you open a single tweet (from outside the app) and press the back button, it takes you out of the app, the reason being that you didn't get to that screen navigating in the app so no history of recently viewed screens. edit: GIF https://gfycat.com/AromaticChillyFish [link] [comments]

How is your phone now compared to when you got it in terms of battery, speed, etc.? Posted: 29 Aug 2016 07:35 PM PDT NOTE FOR MODS BECAUSE MY LAST POST GOT REMOVED: This post is more about a discussion I rarely see than me personally learning information. IMO it doesn't violate Rule 2, and a mod that messaged me agreed. I read up on Samsung phones apparently being lightning fast out of the box but getting sluggish over time so it got me thinking that the same thing has happened to phones I have owned, and to some extent for my friends too. What phones do you guys have, how were they when you got them, and how do they compare now? Edit: Listing phone, how old it is, and how it compares is a good idea. I have a 2 year old M8, and it's considerably slower and has worse batter than when I got it, in addition to physical issues (scratches, buttons are iffy, etc.). [link] [comments]

Nougat Battery Drain Nexus 6p Solution Posted: 29 Aug 2016 06:36 PM PDT Noticed major drains through Android System and Android OS. Disabled ambient display, adaptive brightness and body sensors in google play services. Everything seems to be holding up fine and battery drop is gone. How to notice the problem if you have it or not? Tap on the battery graph and see the awake time. If it is keeping awake ALL the time then something is wrong. After taking above steps my awake time starting going down. NO more complete green bar but patchy green bar. Life seems to be okay now. [link] [comments]
