[APP] I created an always on app for AMOLED displays, just like in the galaxy s7

I had a free afternoon so I decided to create an always on app like the new feature from the Galaxy S7.

The app is still very beta.

What is this app?

The idea is to provide users with information about, time date, notifications and all without having to touch the phone. Just by looking at it. The app also disables touch while active to save more battery.

This is made possible thanks to AMOLED display. Most of the screen stays black except for very little area.

The app currently only offers one watch style, but in the future you will be able to customize the looks and styles of the screen.

Here is a video showing what the app is capable of right now.

I only tested it on my Nexus 6P (Android N) so I would love to get your feedback!

I am open to criticism and would appreciate every feedback you provide.

Oh and it's Open source

Edit:

Notable changes from the original version:

Auto move to avoid AMOLED burn in

24/12 hours format automatically

Touch to dismiss/Swipe to dismiss

MANY bug fixes (thank you)

Supports for more devices

Issues

If you have any issue, let me know in the comments, and if you want to go the extra mile, feel free to open an issue in the Github repo!

Common Q&A

Q:

Doesn't work on my 6.0+ phone

A:

Make sure you enable 'draw over other apps' permission in

Settings->Apps->Permissions (or the wheel icon at the top right)->Special Access->Draw over other apps->Always on

Chrome 51 is now live for everyone, use my Xposed module to bring back Merged Tabs

Posted: 10 Jun 2016 07:07 AM PDT

I know a ton of people use the Merged Tabs feature, so a month ago, I launched my Xposed module on this subreddit, that brings back Merged Tabs in Chrome Beta and Chrome Dev.

Chrome v51 is now rolling out to everyone and removes the Merged Tabs option, so I've recently updated my module to support the stable versions of Chrome. If you're rooted and have Xposed installed, you can use my module to bring back the option.

You can download it from Xposed Installer app -> Downloads -> XposedEnableMergedTabs

Note: If you've already upgraded to Chrome v51, you will have to go to Applications > Chrome > Clear Data to clear Chrome data

With the first flagship getting rid of the 3.5mm port, the writing is on the wall that this is the direction that the future phones still likely go. What are your feelings about this change in direction?
