Getting Weather Timeline to show current location in widgets Posted: 14 Dec 2016 05:28 AM PST Is it possible for my widgets to update automatically when my location changes? It gets a little annoying having to update them whenever I travel. (It's manageable, but kinda annoying) Is this doable and I'm just a dummy? Should I just stop traveling? [link] [comments]

What are the best keyboards nowadays? Posted: 14 Dec 2016 04:23 AM PST I always use Google keyboard but because I'm on 4.3 my Google keyboard doesn't show emojis. I only tried SwiftKey and Fleksy, the first one was okay but the Swype predictions were always bad and the second one was great but no Swype. Which keyboard do you use? [link] [comments]
Best browser to use on a rooted phone with adaway? Posted: 13 Dec 2016 09:38 PM PST Just wondering what's the general consensus for the snappiest browser experience without requiring an adblocker plugin/extension. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Dec 2016 08:29 AM PST Hi all! I've done a good few searches on this and can't seem to find answers to this question so if it's been covered, my apologies. Basically, I recently moved to OnePlus from Samsung and desperately miss their email app. I use Yahoo, Mail.com, Gmail and Outlook for various bits and pieces and really need an app which combines those in the way the Samsung app did - happy to pay for the right one. Have tried K9 which I didn't like and am currently testing out MailWise. Would really appreciate any help! [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Dec 2016 10:37 PM PST I've seen this app been recommended quite a number of times, and it seems really useful, especially in determining the actual capacity of the battery. The dev claims the app uses "science" and claims it's better to unplug at 82% charge rather than 100%. How reliable are these claims? And if AccuBattery is legit, should I purchase pro? Find out where wallpaper app fetches it's images from? Posted: 14 Dec 2016 08:17 AM PST Hi I have a wallpaper app. I would love to download all the images of the app. For obvious reasons, the app itself doesn't have any option like that, so my idea was to decompile the apk and search for a link or something similar to find out where the app fetches the images from and paste them in some Kind of downloader app. Now, i have the decompiled apk but i have no idea what exactly or where to look/search. Is what i'm trying to do even possible? Let me know if you Need the decompiled apk. I'll upload it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Dec 2016 07:54 AM PST Hello! So I know that Facebook paper was shut down half a year ago, but I don't like the light app, and certainly not the official one. Does anyone know where I can get paper? And if it will work and might just not be supported? Thanks! [link] [comments]
[Request] An app that plays Android audio on a PC via Wi-Fi Posted: 14 Dec 2016 08:48 AM PST I've been looking around everywhere for an app like this. Even screen-mirroring apps will still play audio natively. I'm looking for an app that can essentially allow my Android to play it's audio through my PC's speakers, which includes playing all android audio such as when I receive a phone call, when I listen to a VN or when I'm playing a game or using an app. I haven't found anything like this anywhere and I've tried using many of the recommended 'Android - PC' apps around but it seems none of them has this functionality. Help me /r/androidapps, you're my only hope. [link] [comments]
[DEV] Last SMS Widget - my first app, feedback very welcome Posted: 13 Dec 2016 12:46 PM PST Hi Reddit, First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Lukas, I'm a freelance web developer from Czech republic and two weeks ago I began learning Android development. Very little I knew I was gonna release my first app this soon, but here it is! It's a compact widget that will display your last received SMS on your homescreen. "Why another SMS widget? There's already tons of SMS widgets on Google Play!" you may ask. Well, I wanted something really small, clean and simple, without too many buttons and distracting graphics (that don't even fit my homescreen's appearance) like most widgets have, and I also wanted it to fit into Nova Launcher's bottom dock. I even came across widgets that look good, but won't update themselves when new SMS arrives, which is, frankly, really useless. There are currently few issues which I'm aware of but am unable to fix yet due to being inexperienced, though they're top on my todo list and I'll do my best to learn and improve. For example, tapping the widget won't take you to the conversation, instead it will simply display widget's configuration. Also there is no option to change background color or font, though you may at least invert the colors. I myself actually want these features, so I think it's pretty safe to promise you that I'm gonna add them (hopefully soon). Now, I wonder, what would YOU expect from app like this? Or have you maybe ran into some issue? App not working properly or even crashing? Please, let me know, your feedback is very much needed if I want to make a good SMS widget that people would want to use or even pay for. Download now from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.lukasklika.lastsmswidget EDIT: already have a bug report, apparently Android 6 won't ask for permissions while installing, so if the widget is crashing, make sure you've added the necessary permissions manually. Bugfix (version 1.0.1) has already been submitted, but it may take a while until it shows up in the store. Sorry for trouble. EDIT2: Version 1.0.2 is submitted, hopefully all problems with permissions in Android 6 should be resolved now. [link] [comments]

Most fully-featured camera that allows me to change settings almost like a mini-DSLR? Free or paid. Posted: 14 Dec 2016 06:46 AM PST I heard about Open Camera, Manual Camera, and ProShot, but honestly confused what to use among them (or if there's even something better). As much as I would like to personally try all of them, I'm tight with time to actually take my time testing them. Any ideas? Doesn't matter if it's a paid app or not, would gladly support the developer for it. :) [link] [comments]
Represent Kids Education Game "Who’s This? What’s This?" Posted: 14 Dec 2016 06:08 AM PST Hi reddit! Let me show you my new free app for kids "Who's this? What's this?". This game is very simple, bright and suitable for a child of any age. I would be happy if you like it! Thank you. Description: Learning game-app for kids. The app is very simple and good for kids of any age, and even for infants! The game will answer the first "who?", "what?" and "how?" questions. The application "Who's this? What's this?" has various playing tickets with objects, animals, transports and many others. But the point is that the app makes it possible to edit the playing tickets and add new ones as well! Parents can set the app so that the educational process fits the family's traditions, country's and nation's context. "Who's this? What's this?" uses bright and rich pictures and real sounds of animated nature, construction machines, transports and so on. The app has wide settings. You can always change the screen colours as you and your kid choose. The game "Who's this? What's this?" is totally free. No ads in the app's part where you kid will play. No annoying banners will disturb your child. [link] [comments]

[DEV] Job Hunt - An Indeed Search Client Posted: 13 Dec 2016 12:13 PM PST Hello, hello! Just wanted to share my open-source application that I just released to the Play Store. As a soon-to-be college graduate, I set out to create a minimal and clean job search app that I would enjoy using while searching for jobs. The app is powered by the Indeed Job Search API. The source code is available on Github. [link] [comments]
[Request] Vibrate mode for x hours Posted: 13 Dec 2016 11:06 PM PST Simple request, inspired by stock DND in Marshmallow and up.
Is there anything like this available? Preferably activated by app icon/shortcut/tile in Nougat, not widget. Also, I am aware of this "hack" to stock DND mode, but without Xposed it takes lots of time to setup and OnePlus devices don't have stock DND mode anyway (so no timer). [link] [comments]

Is there a (legal) way to remote control android phones? Posted: 14 Dec 2016 04:23 AM PST i've recently gifted my parents a smartphone each and thus have also entered a state of expected extended support of these devices. they are both nearing 70 and while having a basic understanding of what they are doing with the devices they sometimes just hit a roadblock with something and want me to help. the problem is that they basically lack the vocabulary to really describe whats happening or to understand what i'm asking them. so what i'd like to do is, like with teamviewer or vnc on a pc, to connect to their phone from my pc (or tablet) and remote control the device and have it on my screen. are there (reasonably priced) solutions which don't require root and work while not in the same LAN?
