Best Lightweight Email Client For Android? Posted: 18 Dec 2016 09:53 AM PST I was an avid user of Mailbox by Dropbox. Primarily because it was lightweight. After it has been shut down, I have never been able to find a replacement app. CloudMagic was nearly there but recently it was bought by Newton Mail which was a big let down. Any idea of what could be the best option now. I am just looking for a lightweight, fast email client like mailbox with minimal features. Exchange support is not required. [link] [comments] |
No longer able to add feed to Newstand? Posted: 18 Dec 2016 09:50 AM PST Recently I decided to just go all in on Google apps. So I am trying to use Google play Newstand as my news reader but I can't seem to be able to add a website feed. I know in the past we could since I have a few on there. Did they change it in the new update so that it's no longer possible? [link] [comments] |

TIP Use pushbullet and macrodroid to automate your phone Posted: 18 Dec 2016 04:09 AM PST In this method im using macro droid, but im guessing you can use tasker/Automate/Droid Automation Set new macro: Triger: Notification > Recived > Contain > XWord > From Pushbullet Action: Whatever action you want Then: send yourself message from pushbullet-chrome that contains the XWord, and it will activate the action. Example of mine: XWord: Sync > Action: Launch shortcut from foldersync to sync [link] [comments] |
[Request] Turn a tablet into a digital picture frame with live-updating dropbox/shared folders? Posted: 17 Dec 2016 05:55 PM PST I want to give my old tablet to my mom for Christmas. My brother is about to be a father, and he lives across the country. Could make it so that my brother can upload baby photos straight to my mom's digital picture frame? I'm having enough trouble finding an app that allows for slideshows based on Dropbox folders without downloading. It would be amazing if I could start a slideshow and have the slideshow update with new pictures as they're added so that my mom never has to do anything. Bonus points for a homescreen shortcut that starts the slideshow. I am not tied to Dropbox. I'm happy with any sharing service that let's my brother add to it from across the country and have tho photos go into a currently running slideshow. [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Need feedback for improvements in quotes app Posted: 18 Dec 2016 03:33 AM PST Hi everyone, After Binary Fun Game I made another app Petra Quotes & Status, but it's not doing good. I've worked so hard on its Interface as compared to other Quotes app. But It's barely having 1-2 downloads a day. So I need some feedback what should I do or improve or add from the users perspective. Here is the link to the app:- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.petraapps.quotes So, basically, I'm seeking for suggestions. Thanks in advance. :) [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Need input on pricing model Posted: 18 Dec 2016 06:56 AM PST I have a paid Android app published on the play store and it has an in-app purchase to unlock more content. The reason I did it this way is because I believe not every user will want the additional content, so rather than charge for everything up front, the user effectively pays for what they want. Brilliant! Actually, not so brilliant. I've been receiving a steady stream of negative feedback because of this. People hate paying for an app, then getting into their shiney new toy when realizing there is more to purchase. In the beginning I felt like it was an education problem; the customer just didn't know how it works. But I have described the pricing model in the Play Store app description, and labeled the app images with "in-app purchase" for those images showing off that content. There are still people who give one star reviews just because of the in-app purchase behind a paid app. I'm looking for feedback from the community on this. Should I change the pricing model to charge everything up front? Or keep things how they are? If the latter, what can I do better to eliminate this problem? Thanks for your help! [link] [comments] |
