| Posted: 19 Dec 2016 12:56 PM PST Please help me troubleshoot, today I never received a really important text message. I later looked at the message on the sender's phone and they didn't have any sending errors or anything. It just never showed up on my phone. I can send and receive just fine normally, it was just that one isolated incident. I really need to find out why this happened or else I'm going to have to completely change carriers and switch to iphone because I really can't afford to randomly have a text message disappear. Who knows what other messages I didn't know about that never got to me. I can't accept that possibility. I have a galaxy S6 with Metro PCS in the vegas area. I called customer support and they had me do some "general troubleshooting" but I still never received the message and I doubt it fixed anything. I tried both stock and Google's messenger. How can this happen? I thought SMS protocol has some sort of 2 way acknowledgement. [link] [comments]  |

Google reveals it's an adware virus, but Malwarebytes for Android hasn't seemed to fixed the issue. When i got home and upacked the package, the screen was shattered, not too much but there was still a crack roght in the middle of screen. When i got to my carrier in mall, they said that it is not their mistake ( they think that it is my fault and my phone probably fell) .And they cant do anything, Contacted my lawyer this morning and im about to take this to court, what do you think will i be able to do anything in this case? | Weird things happening with google Messenger (galaxy S6) Posted: 19 Dec 2016 11:23 AM PST So recently my google messenger has not been giving me notifications to my phone unless the app is open and the screen is unlocked. Before this there has not been a single problem with it. My app still will have the notification number in the bottom right hand corner but will not vibrate or make a sound when I receive a text. The notifications settings is turned on in messenger. I have tried switching to the native samsung messages app and it does give me notifications, however whenever I open the "chat" window to one friend it takes forever to open the screen. Also I have been getting a few popups from random websites claiming I have a virus about once every 3-4 days. I am not sure if these are related in any way I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what to do. What I've tried: -Uninstalling and reinstalling Messenger -Changing the default messaging app back and forth from messenger to samsung messages -Currently going to update my phone -I have also deleted all apps that I have recently installed (within 3 weeks) although it should be noted no apps were downloaded within the week so the phone was working 3 days ago and no changes were made between when it was working fine and not working. Posted: 19 Dec 2016 11:20 AM PST I'm selling a Nexus 10 to someone, which I've never done before, with the understanding that it'll have Cyanogen 13 on it. I've heard that the factory wipe is pretty damn insecure and so I encrypted and did a factory reset. Everything is booting up fine and the device powers up into a normal boot without asking for any codes, but TWRP (3.0.2.0) still asks for the encryption key and won't start without it. | Posted: 19 Dec 2016 11:11 AM PST So I came back home from school, my phone's battery was about 25%. I went to open messenger, but then it just said Messenger has stopped, Album has stopped, Keyboard has stopped, Android.processes has stopped, system.ui has stopped and I couldn't do anything but shut the phone down. It took a whole minute and a half for the phone to shut down. I turned it on again, but the same errors started to appear with apps suddenly stopping. Then I turned the phone off again and left it. I connected the charger and let it rest. After a few hours, I noticed there was a red lamp just glowing still. I disconnected the charger and tried turning the phone on, but it didn't respond. I then tried holding the power button + volume up for 10 seconds, then volume down. The phone vibrated and the SONY logo appeared, but after that there was this triangle with a screwdriver and a wrench on it. And below that there was something like a blue loading sign. The phone would go black again after that. I left the phone be once again, and this time, at random points, the phone would display a phone Icon with a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark on it. I don't know what the hell's going on. I'm mostly concerned about my NOTES. I have some really important info there, and if I somehow manage to factory reset my phone (which seems inevitable at this point), it would surely delete all my notes... | Google app problem: opens and then shuts down instantly Posted: 19 Dec 2016 11:07 AM PST Last week the google app has started shutting down the moment it is opened on my HTC one (M7) phone making it unusable. If I delete and reinstall the app it works OK for a while and then reverts to shutting down. I have exhausted my own trouble shooting abilities and internet searching hasn't turned up an answer so any help would be appreciated. Here are some relevant details: Phone: HTC One M7, Android 5.01 (stock), Memory 19.89Gb out of 32Gb used. Carrier: 3 Ireland. Problem happens on wifi or carrier connection. App: Google app updated to latest version and signed in to my google account. Expected behaviour: Up to one week ago (December 11 2016) I could launch google by long pressing the home key or by pressing the Google app icon. This would open up a google search window with information cards / weather etc. Problem behaviour: A week ago the google app started shutting down immediately after it opens (within 1 second). This happens whether I long press home or use the google app icon. There are no error messages displayed I simply return to my home screen. Additional information: Every other app works normally. I haven't installed any new apps recently. Searching google through chrome works fine. Possible clues: 1. Just before the app exits I can see two new buttons at the bottom of my screen . On the left hand side looks like a stack of google cards and on the right hand side looks like a glowing LED. These don't appear when google is working normally. 2. I was roaming in France when the problem started but it has persisted since I came home to Ireland. Troubleshooting efforts: Turned the phone fully off and reboot but the problem remains. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling the problem goes away temporarily. I can use google normally for a while (anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or so but the problem eventually returns. Clearing the app cache has no effect but "clear all data" does temporarily fix it similarly to uninstalling. The problem always comes back a short while later. [link] [comments]  |

When I used to get a text on M9, a drop down window would appear over the top of other windows with a text preview. Now on my S7 all i get is a message icon in the notification bar at the top. I have an LGV10 and really like swyping (whether it is using Swype, Swiftkey, LG Keyboard, etc) but they all have the same problem for me (and many others apparently). There are common words they always get wrong. It makes it so much less productive if I am always correcting the same words. Is there a keyboard out there that has a feature where if I type "you" and it evaluates to "toy" and I correct it, it either learns my correction (say, after doing it 3 to 5 times) or manually allows me to have a lookup table of my input preferences. I'll still need a way to type the word "toy" when I want that, but 99% of the time, I mean "you". Please say this exists somewhere! Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]  |

| Battery and Camera problems on my device. Posted: 19 Dec 2016 11:55 AM PST Hello everyone. I have a few problems with my device. I own a BQ Aquaris E5 FHD for two years now. Couple months ago, I had trouble with charging it. I didn't. After a factory reset it started working again. Time went by, and the camera stop working till now. That Can't connect to camera error, I did everything the guides said to fixed it, reset, hard reset, reset using usb and the drivers that I downloaded from the BQ website. Nothing worked! Only works for 10 seconds when I reboot the phone. Kinda annoying but nothing I worried too much. Today I started having the not charging problem again. I used the app called Ampere to help me see the problem. When the phone is at 1-2% it charges at 1150 maH and it decays till no longer charges and starts dropping %. Is there something I can do fix this charging problem? Camera is secondary but would love to fix it too. Notes: Changed chargers; Changed wall plug thingie; Using PC to charge is the same; I have 4.4.2, never Rooted. [link] [comments]  |

Everything I find about it online suggests that it can't be done...So, I wonder, has anyone here ever had any succes with this specific issue?
