Finally, an open-sourced CAF browser! Posted: 14 Dec 2016 03:05 PM PST Lately I've been looking around for a CAF browser (optimized Chromium browser for Snapdragon), but so far all builds I've found such as "TugaBrowser" and "YuBrowser" aren't open-sourced. Although the developers of said apps are reputable, I just couldn't see myself using it as my main browser knowing it may send my personal information over. Eventually, I found a fully open-sourced CAF browser recently published on the Google Play Store. It's called CS Browser (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.scweeny.CS.browser.dev&hl=en) and it's currently on Chrome 55. It's fast (only works properly for devices using Snapdragon Krait cores), filters ads, and has a variety of security features such as HTTPS Upgrade and XSS Defender. The source code of the browser (along with it's variations) are available here: https://github.com/scweeny/CAF [link] [comments] | ||
