Posted: 05 Sep 2016 09:35 AM PDT So, sometimes when I am browsing around on more...adult-oriented sites, I am bombarded with skeevy ads (fake virus has been detected, etc) which always make my phone vibrate like crazy. I am rooted, and run AdAware, MinMinGuard, and UnbelovedHosts, but they obviously don't always work. Why the hell does Android even allow these scumbags to control my phone's vibe? Makes me a bit leery about whether they can also access other HW without me knowing (camera, etc). [link] [comments]  |

| No go back page option google chrome android. Posted: 05 Sep 2016 02:14 PM PDT Lets say I visit any site and want to go back a page and there is no option. If I visit reddit on my android then click a post I cannot go back.I have to restart reddit to get back to the main page.I dont even use my phone for browsing because of this. Perhaps a third party app that can add back one page? I can tap upper right corner button but there is only forward button. I know higher is better, but what exactly do they measure/mean? Is single core measuring web browsing speed? And multi-core gaming speeds? I've tried multiple browsers, but it either: times out or brings up a page that says "x website is not secure" normally it's Google since it's my homepage. I am able to connect to private networks without a problem, but this becoming an increasingly frustrating problem to have when I visit friend's apartments or want to use the wifi at a hotel/McDonald's/a cafè/etc. [link] [comments]  |

Smart Alert isn't working at all for me, although activated. I've tried deactivating it then reactivating without any success. I am also using Textra, I imagine this is the likely culprit? | I cannot view my installed apps to update them in the Play store. Posted: 05 Sep 2016 04:02 PM PDT Im on mobile so sorry for lack of formatting. Recently out of no where, my installed apps wont show. I can browse the store like normal, I can view the "All" tab, but I get an indefinite loading sceeen for my installed apps. I've let the device go for about 10 minutes and I get nothing but the loading circle. Has this happened to anyone else before? I've been on Android for over a year now and this is the first it's happened to me. Im running a rooted Nexus 6, 6.0.1 if that helps. Thank you! I have a HTC One M7 running Android 5.0.2. Every morning I find my GPS icon flashing in the top bar and Location shows that Play Store is highest user. Force closing Play Store stops this. But why is it happening in the first place? It knows my location already. Forums also show that this is happening to other phone models. But no indication as to why. [link] [comments]  |

| Add other apps in the 'draw over apps' section Posted: 05 Sep 2016 09:43 AM PDT A lot of apps require some permissions to fully work and you can give those in the draw over apps panel, however, quite a few apps are missing, like WhatsApp for example. | Can't do hard reset on Moto G4 after disabling Google App... Posted: 05 Sep 2016 02:38 PM PDT Hi everyone, Last week I bought a new Motorola Moto G4 (unlocked), to replace my old phone (iPhone). So far my experience has been pretty good, but today I messed things up I'm afraid. I was looking into removing the Google Search Bar from my homescreen and thought I had found the solution in diabling the Google App. So I did... Homescreen was gone and I tried to reboot the phone, but it got stuck on the 'Moto' screen. After searching around some more, I managed to get into the Boot Menu and selected the 'Recovery' and later 'Factory Mode', but neither of these options gave me any results. First I would end up with 'no command' and the Android robot lying down and after that it would just try to boot again and get stuck again. I read that with the No Command screen, you can hold down the Volume Down button for 10 seconds, followed by the Power Button, but this gave no results, I tried it with the Volume Up button and both Volume buttons at the same time as well. And now I can't even get the 'no command' screen back again. I'm at a complete loss, I hope you have any suggestions as to what I might try. Moto G4 unlocked Android Marshmallow Phone charging It's late at night here (Netherlands), so I'll try to reply early morning again or otherwise after work. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |

I usually render it transparent so that the controls float on my wallpaper. I was wondering if there were any other apps with this kind of ability. I have tried Blackplayer and Phonograph.
