If the Pixels are meant to be flagship smartphones they need to have water resistance. Posted: 13 Sep 2016 05:20 PM PDT I love my 6p, but the lack of real water resistance is disappointing. I'm of the opinion that if Google really wants to position the Pixels as flagship smartphones they need to have water resistance. Samsung offers it, Sony has had it for ages, and now even Apple has it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 13 Sep 2016 01:28 PM PDT Over the past few months, I've been transitioning more towards paying using my phone and Android Pay, especially in situations when presented with the terrible chip reader (will reserve rant on that for a later time). At first, I was a bit unclear on the logistics. Even after several weeks the experience still felt clunky, inconsistent, and in some circumstances, downright embarrassing to use. However, when compared to the chip reader, and even swiping, I'm convinced it's better. Not great, but better. That being said, the Google's marketing team has really failed this product. It feels like there's a barrier for all platforms of mobile payments (Android, Apple, Samsung, etc.) I don't think any of these platforms suffer from lack of awareness, but from a lack of consumer knowledge on how to utilize it. Honestly, I want to hear what other people have to say about mobile payments. Will it eventually catch on? [link] [comments]
