Preparing for Beta release, what should I do to get the best experience and avoid copyright issues? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 06:58 AM PDT I'm preparing for a beta release of my Reddit Client. I want to have my friends and redditors to test it. The problem is, I have never released an App that consumes an API before. There are some copyright and other things that I have to deal with, but until then, can someone guide through what should be done based on their Beta release experience? It would be also great if other Reddit client developers guide me through. Btw, if you have been on this sub for a while, you must have seen an old post from a different account asking for contribution help to this project. Although I have received at least 25 requests to join the project, only two helped and it lasted 2 weeks. I don't want to waste all the time I have put in learning and developing this Reddit client, and I'm still hoping for serious contributors to join me. For the mean time, I want to have a beta release or even alpha, to motivate me work on this app and make it the best Open sourced Reddit client. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Creating a keyboard with custom emoji's Posted: 14 Sep 2016 11:55 AM PDT Hello everyone, Me and my friends have created some funny emoji's and I decided to give it a try an app so we can actually use them as emoji's. I got expired by Kevin Hart's new app : KevMoji (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/kevmoji-by-kevin-hart/id1152576183?mt=8 ) And I want to create something similar.I have found online some open-source keyboards and some emoji stuff such as : But I don't know where to go from here. How would I implement the images that I have to be used as emoji's on the keyboard when I press the "+" or something like that. Any help would be appreciated . Thanks. [link] [comments] |

Refactoring a old app with database Posted: 14 Sep 2016 08:59 AM PDT I want to improve a old app I made. It was my first android app, so I wrote some bad code. Now I need to make some changes to the database, but the amount of required refactoring in the whole app would be huge (changing datatypes, etc.). How do you solve problems like this? Edit: a word [link] [comments] |
