Basic security camera app?

I was looking for a barebones security camera app that would just record in low res and use local storage while I'm not at home. nothing fancy shmancy or anything that requires cloud storage to function. Is there anything like this out there in the app store?

Another Huge Slide for Reddit Update! Tumblr, Read Later, Related Links, Speed improvements, and More!

Hello all,

Happy to announce another huge Slide for Reddit update! This addresses all the Android N bug you guys reported, fixed all the speed complaints users were having, and adds in a lot of new features!

Changelog:

  • Full Tumblr post integration! Looks and acts like the Album and Vertical Album views
  • Related submissions in comment toolbar, and you can share links to Slide to view related submissions
  • Improvements to offline mode (it will show last cached comments first instead of submissions)
  • Albums have post/comment fonts
  • Upload multiple images to Imgur albums
  • Read Later button with a section under Profile > Read Later. Merged with offline save as well (thanks to /u/mr_novembor)
  • Option for larger link font size
  • New design for gilds (thanks to /u/freundTech)
  • Redesigned some settings screens, Made Offline content settings more accessible
  • Fixed a request bug that was making some of you guys slower, now it will be as fast as desktop all the time
  • Revamp of mod tools, view who removed/approved submissions and comments and why, lock and unlock threads, instant feedback (submission view will change when you do actions on it), ability to distinguish submissions, removed "Are you sure?" dialogs and just execute the action, ability to see removed posts and comments for reapproval, see who removed/reapproved posts and comments, mod log, removal of the "Are you sure?" dialogs, and more!
  • Child comment navigation is its own button now
  • Option to disable comment navigation bar shortcut actions
  • Hopefully fixed blank widget bug and duplicated thumbnail image bug
  • Thanks to contributor /u/freundTech, all the reported Android N issues were addressed/fixed
  • There is now a setting for tinting the Slide icon based on your main sub theme
  • File size in image loading
  • Improved text selection dialog
  • Made post notifications actually work (introduced a bug last version), will be reliable as well!
  • F-Droid users can now donate via PayPal!
  • Slide is now 1.4mb smaller
  • Fixed comment text field issues
  • Fixed setting main color with colored icons enabled
  • Tweaked gild icon
  • Fixed gifs not displaying
  • Fixed all gif issues (sound and closing)
  • Fixed double bullets
  • Tweaked mail notification system
  • Long press for XKCD info/alttext
  • Improvement to gif view and controls (fixed strange glitches that let you see the view on the sides even if it wasn't open)
  • Fixed r/random and r/randnsfw bugs
  • Fixed history being counted with history turned off
  • MANY improvements to sidebar typing and subreddit selection, now it won't clear if the sub doesn't exist
  • Many other bug fixes and improvements!

Help about Google Play services version

Hi Reddit. I wouldn't be asking this question if the Redditors in r/zenfone2 are answering my question. So please be nice.

I would like to ask what Google Play services version can I side load from apk mirror. I checked the apk mirror faq but it's confusing.

I have a zenfone 2 4gb ram and 64gb storage. My current version of play services is 9.4.52 (470-127739847) running stock MM 6.0.1 after updating from Lollipop 5.0.

Any app to prevent 4G LTE data connectivity interruption?

The problem is my LTE connectivity is patchy.While streaming or downloading, speed suddenly drop to 0k/s and remain there for considerably long time.Have to enable and disable flight mode to regain connectivity.

I'm trying ASAP Launcher out for the first time, usually I use Nova Launcher Prime. It looks really nice, and I like how everything is already setup. What do you guys think? It would be hard to recreate this in Nova.

[REQUEST] Looking for a shopping list app that supports multiple stores/aisles

I've been using OurGroceries and while I really like it, once you mark Bread as being on aisle 1, it is on aisle 1 for all stores. I've set it up for HEB (my main store), but when I put bread on my Randall's list, it shows up on aisle 1, when it is actually on aisle 4 at Randall's.

OurGroceries has spoiled me in that it syncs to my wife's iPhone, so that is also very desirable.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm willing to pay for the app if it works like I want it to.

Any suggestions for apps on my old phone?

I've decided to take my old Droid RAZR Maxx HD and turn it into a utility device with apps. I'm not going to to carry it around everywhere with me, in fact it will mostly stay in my vehicle or I'll take it out with me when I go camping/hiking. What are some apps that you guys/gals think would be useful for those situations? I'm running an unrooted KitKat 4.4.2 so some newer apps might not be possible for me.

I have yet to find a solid weather app that will give me the ocean water temperature at the beach; nothing sucks more than going to the beach on a hot day only to find out the ocean water temperature is 60°.

Web Browser With Night Mode...And No Junk

I'm looking for a nice web browser with night mode. Used to use dolphin but it has been found to send our data to somewhere else. Also it had problem inputting text using swipe keyboards like SwiftKey. For now I'm using UC Web Browser, but man, it is full of junk. I don't want it to display news on homepage (can't turn it off), nor I want it to send me notifications of news headlines (disabling notifications from Android settings is not a proper solution. It'd still consume internet and try to send notification). I also do not want UC to recommend me to display its own charging screen everytime I put phone on charge.

It'd be best if there was night mode in chrome, since that is what I use all the time on pc and mobile. But withought night mode, it's hard on eyes in nights. So I'm looking for a different one...light weight; which I will use only in nights for reading articles and surfing web.

I've been using CloudMagic for a few months and I love it. But it doesn't have an option to save a contact information.

I'm looking for specific things:

  • Must have Unified Inbox (I use Google and Google apps accounts)
  • Must be able to create events and/or tasks from an email. Even through a third party. This is the reason I had to discard many great email clients :(
  • Must be able to sync and notify of new mail in specific sub folders
  • An easy way to save new contacts

Optional:

  • Very important but probably limiting: a way to tell if a contact is sync/saved
  • Contact manager, even a basic way to edit contacts and see past conversations
  • Calendar would be nice

I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks.
