Stop Signal Messenger Nagging to Invite Contacts? Posted: 18 May 2016 04:15 AM PDT I hate the "Invite to Signal" bar. When Signal was SMS secure or Text secure (I forget which was the original) there was an option in one of the .xml files whereby you could edit it and it'd increase the time before it nagged to invite friends to Signal. I would set it to some obscenely high number and problem resolved. Cue a few years on and I can't find that option, at least, nothing that looks like it. Can anyone tell me how I can prevent this vulgar behaviour? Thanks [link] [comments]
Is there any reason why Gboard is a separate app to Google Keyboard? Posted: 18 May 2016 02:09 AM PDT I know it's not out on Android yet, but it seems odd to me that it's advertised as a totally separate product. Any reason why Google don't integrate it with Google Keyboard, just with the option to turn off Gboard functionality? [link] [comments]

Consistent "WhatsApp Web Client" notification since latest update Posted: 18 May 2016 02:25 AM PDT I have a consistent notification that reads "Whatsapp Web client is currently active" even though I have closed all the browsers. It disappears once I restart my phone and then reappears when I open the browser, but doesn't go away after I close the browser. Has anybody else got this issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 May 2016 02:12 AM PDT Hi all, I have released a new app to record videos with live filters. Select a filter, camera preview shows real time effect. Tap to start recording, tap to save - no post processing required. Check out Video Filters! in the play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zaax.videofilters Video Filters! uses screen capture without requiring root permission (Android 5.0 and above only) to create video with realtime filters. To gain proper feedback and improve upon the app, i am giving away free promo codes here for the ad-free version of the application. If you are interested, please leave a comment here and I will send you the code in pm. Responding via pm might take some time, so please bear with me. Hoping to get some constructive criticism. Posted: 18 May 2016 04:19 AM PDT I saw there werre a few appa similar to showbox, and there was one in specific, but i forgot the name of it. I knkw that it would have titles of tv shows and a picture of the show in a large box, and there would be 3(4?) boxes on the screen and you'd scroll down to see more tv shows. The developer also mentioned s/he was working on a movie edition of the app. Help! [link] [comments]
Can I make TrueCaller my default phone app? Posted: 18 May 2016 07:58 AM PDT As in, not have the default program for calling pop up when my phone rings...but have the truecaller app pop up instead? Sorry, i'm a bit of a dummy when it comes to this stuff, so I don't even know if it's possible lol edit I should add, I changed it to the default. Yet, the normal phone app still pops up, with the caller ID. Is this normal? I don't know much about it, but I thought I could answer calls and everything through TrueCaller. I know I can make calls via that app. [link] [comments]
Alternative App to Download Accelerator Plus Posted: 18 May 2016 01:49 AM PDT I'm having massive troubles with Download Accelerator Plus where it won't change the destination of the downloaded file from default folder to a different folder on my device. It has to has to allow resume of download, easy to navigate interface presumably Material Design, ability to pause and download from URL link by share menu. Is there an alternative application that you use instead? [link] [comments]
PullQuote/Instapaper sharing for Pocket Posted: 18 May 2016 07:24 AM PDT I currently use Instapaper, but am thinking about switching to Pocket. The one feature that's missing is the ability to highlight text in an article and share it as an image to Twitter. I know there are apps like PullQuote, but it's not on Android. Any suggestions? Any alternative browsers for Dolphin browser that has a good built-in video player? Posted: 17 May 2016 06:23 PM PDT The only reason I use Dolphin is because their built-in video player is wonderful and makes it great for watching shows through the browser. Are there any other apps that are less sketchy than Dolphin but have a good built in media player? Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 May 2016 03:29 AM PDT Hey I'm Sergiu and I'm an indie game developer! Over the years the west has made a lot of bad jokes about us eastern European countries, some deserved, some not so deserved. Especially Poland. We understand tho', it's all in good fun and we think so too. In this spirit, we decided to make an android game to laugh at these cliche sayings! with the great support of our national television we want to bring you Pollandball, a fun space-race like game in which Poland is trying to compete with Russia and other countries to reach space (like 25)! If you like to try it out, you can find game on play store here free version. For support dev purposes, you can buy a add-free version here if interested. [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 May 2016 07:59 PM PDT So my battery will just run down like a madman sometimes, its like I have to keep it in just to hold a charge at a certain percentage. However when I restart my phone and connect it the fast-charger works and it goes as normal. I've heard apps like Snapchat, Facebook, games, etc... can be the cause of this but I really didn't even know how to diagnose the problem other than describe what's happening. [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 May 2016 10:39 PM PDT I'm looking for an app replacement to CanOpener on iOS, more precisely its crossfeed feature. I listen to a lot of older music which has some crazy L/R separation and it can get a bit irritating to listen to through headphones. I've tried Neutron which has the feature and works well, however I can't get past the UI which is so unintuitive and ugly. Scroll sensitivity is also infuriating. PowerAmp has a crossfeed feature but it's badly implemented as it sounds hollow and boosts the bass frequencies unreasonably. Proper crossfeed implementation shouldn't do this.
Edit: managed to install Viper4Android and it works reasonably well for a less tiring L/R separation. Definitely not as powerful as CanOpner, but Viper does so much more, system wide, that I'll be exploring the possibilities of this hack for now. Any other option? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 May 2016 04:17 PM PDT As the title says, I'm looking for a truly good dialer app. I'm using the LG G4 and the phone app is so laggy. PS. Not true dialer. [link] [comments]

Auto-correction without suggestions bar using Google keyboard? Posted: 18 May 2016 01:47 AM PDT So I just updated my google keyboard and it seems that we can't have the auto-correction turned on with the correction suggestions bar off like in the previous version (4.1). Now if I disable this annoying suggestions I also disable the auto-correction and nothing are correct anymore after using spacebar or punctuation. The description in the configuration also changed according to what I explained. http://i.imgur.com/8NmS0ji.png Is there a solution/suggestion or we are stuck on that? [link] [comments]
