[Dev] Guitar Hero meets EDM meets mobile Posted: 21 May 2016 11:27 PM PDT First of all, I want to make it clear that I am one of two developers that worked on this game. :) We are a tiny indie team from UYU Games, just two people who stay in Thailand to try to reduce our costs and trying to live the dream of any indie developer, to create and release our first game. We hit many road blocks on the way, and apart from running out of funds entirely and living off packet noodles, we finally have released our first game TapDJ EDM. The easiest way to describe the game is that the gameplay is similar to Guitar Hero, but of course, adapts to the touch mechanism of mobile devices. The graphics are also themed to music events. We really hope that you enjoy the game and the free content that we have made available. Some of the features include: • Free EDM music tracks • Famous album collection • Daily login rewards • Challenge friends high scores • Free plays and music via ads The gameplay is very simple, there are just two types of notes; touch notes and hold notes. I think it's quite obvious that you touch and hold those respectively. :D We managed to do licencing deals that allowed us to use electronic music from respected DJs & producers so it's incredibly exciting to be working with those guys. (Used all our money so we could make the first legitimate EDM music game) :D lol After early issues with small bugs and login mechanisms (since we required Facebook to help users to restore their purchases and such, we never realized that it would be met with such negative comments), however we added a guest login mode and ironed out the small issues and now we are getting very positive feedback. We hope that we get positive ratings, reviews and shares. We are not some huge company, just two guys that eat noodles and dream of making more games. Thank you [link] [comments]
[DEV] Would there be interest in single-player only CCG? Posted: 21 May 2016 09:06 AM PDT I made an online one, but it is complicated to code and fails sometimes and there is not enough players. If I made a single player one, I could focus on gameplay, add more complex mechanics. [link] [comments]

[DEV] Looking for Beta Testers for Terra Monsters 3 Posted: 22 May 2016 12:38 AM PDT Hello everyone, as the title suggests we're looking for Beta testers for our upcoming game Terra Monsters 3! Terra Monsters 3 is a single player 3D creature capturing game - here's a rough trailer I've been working on (you can see lots of videos on the dev of this game on that youtube channel). If you would like to Beta Test simply send me a PM with the device you use and I will send you the Google Store link with a voucher code so that you can download the game for free (the game will cost $1.99 when it goes live). Once you've become a beta tester, I will send you a survey monkey questionnaire which will provide us with invaluable feedback on what you think of the game. You don't HAVE to fill this out but it would be greatly appreciated if you do. Alternatively you can report any bugs/ concerns/ criticisms/ suggestions in here! A few things to look out for / known bugs already.
The support and feedback from this sub was worth its weight in gold for our last game. Thank you for your time, I hope you enjoy our game! [link] [comments]
Stumbled upon a game called Swordbreaker and it's amazing. Posted: 21 May 2016 12:26 PM PDT After searching for some good choose your own adventure games I found one that had recently come out through some random online forum called Swordbreaker. It's got truly amazing art and has dozens of branching paths! It's massively overlooked as of now and I suggest everyone to at least check it out. If you like choose your own adventures then you will absolutely love this. The game is super cheap is compared to a game with similar art quality and options. There is also a demo version available.
