Posted: 23 May 2016 03:49 PM PDT I picked up Retrorika icons on sale this week, and I feel silly for not indulging in them earlier. It really completed my phone design. The homescreen is running FORM Clock Widget with Google Analog Clock widget, and the Retrorika icons. The launcher and background is from Arrow Launcher. I also have a Google News and Google Now widgets below the clock widgets. Anyone have something they'd like to show off? Post it here! [link] [comments]
[DEV] Gift Pictures for Reddit -- a Reddit picture browser with hidden profiles Posted: 24 May 2016 07:06 AM PDT https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.liverworks.ipfr I know there are a few Reddit picture viewers already in the Play store, but this one allows for hidden profiles. Why would you need a hidden profile? Maybe you have a tablet, and you want to look at pictures of "gifts" to try to figure out some ideas, but you don't want anybody else to pick up your tablet and see what you were looking at. Sure, you could be very careful with incognito mode or alternate logins, but Gift Pictures for Reddit lets you just get in, look at those "gifts" and get back out with no history left behind. But what about that icon in the app drawer? Just set up your default view to look at some non-"gift" subreddits, and you have a clean entry point for anybody else using your tablet. The app is free to use. Advertising will show up after a few days, but you can turn it off with no strings attached. Not all of the many picture sites that Reddit links to are handled, yet. If one of your favorite "gift" subreddits isn't showing up properly, send me a note. Also send me any suggestions you may have. [link] [comments]

[Request] Is there an app where I can take long screenshots by scrolling down? Posted: 23 May 2016 08:16 PM PDT I remember this feature in a Galaxy S6/S7 advertisement where you could screenshot an entire webpage by scrolling down. Is there a third party app like this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2016 03:12 AM PDT I know there are dozens of apps on Google play that show the daily changes for cyanogen builds, but I couldn't find one that was fast, reliable and stable. So I made one. This app is built with the material design guidelines in mind and I've tried to stick with the basic design principles as much as possible. Some of the main features include device information, multiple devices and downloading nightlies from the app. If you're a cyanogenmod user, just give my app a try. What is an app that you love that doesn't often get a mention on r/androidapps? Posted: 24 May 2016 05:37 AM PDT Even though the number of android apps is vast, a lot of the same apps get mentioned over and over on a weekly basis on this subreddit. What is an app that you use that hardly ever gets a mention here? [link] [comments]

I'm looking for a text messaging app with "folders." Posted: 23 May 2016 10:39 PM PDT I'm wondering if there's an app that allows you to put messages in different folders, so that you can choose which ones to display and/or mute. For example: Getting work-related messages. I want them accessible, but I don't necessarily want them displayed, nor do I always want to be notified when one comes in. I hope this makes sense, haven't been able to find the right wording to google. [link] [comments]
[DEV] LucidPod - the most lightweight Podcast Player for Android Posted: 24 May 2016 02:19 AM PDT It is small, quick, ads-free app. Google Play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lumarama.lucidpod Features: - Search in iTunes podcast library; - Add podcasts by RSS link (simply paste the RSS URL/link to the search field); - Download podcast episodes for offline listening; - Lock screen controls: play/pause, rewind 10 sec. back and 30 sec. forward (many players miss the last two buttons); - Mark all previous episodes as played/listened (usually you continue the podcast that you started before, so you want to mark everything you've already listened with one easy action); - Quick hints showing number of downloads and new episodes; - Convenient access to the list of downloaded episodes; - UI is optimized for one-hand usage. This is community-driven app. If you miss an important feature please leave a comment. Most requested features will be implemented. [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 May 2016 06:20 PM PDT I very much enjoyed the Pocket PC OS, and would like to replicate that on an older phone (Kyocera Event and Samsung S3) . So I have two questions, can I get an emulator to mimic Pocket PC(not Palm) and possibly run .cab files, or if not, is there a launcher or app that mimics windows mobile, could it be developed, and what apps could be used to mimic a PDA environment. Is Pocket PC really dead? As its operating system was very appealing and intuitive, and I am sure many people would love some of those features on Android(Such as its Windows Style applications or more down to Earth design, with less "big buttons" and more manageable dropdown menus) . Posted: 23 May 2016 05:03 PM PDT Any suggestions for Android apps which will make my android notifications show up on my PC? I've tried pushbullet and am currently giving Desktop Notifications a try. Are there any other good ones I might have missed? [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2016 07:07 AM PDT i like the idea of all the added filters and stickers and customizing you can do with the app but im unsure if it would be a smart move to download it on my htc 10 which is not rooted? [link] [comments]
Android N allows two Chrome tabs open at the same time. Posted: 23 May 2016 10:10 PM PDT Android N preview allows two Chrome tabs to open on one screen at the same time. This isn't the multi-window but a totally different feature albeit very similar. To enable this, just hold the overview key with the two tabs open and then click on the overflow button. Choose the "move to other window" prompt. It's one neat feature. You know how multi-tasking is important to all mobile users and having two Chrome tabs open at the same time can be pretty useful. The feature is called "task switcher" in some places and that you can access such in Recents. [link] [comments]
Question about swipe for Facebook pro Posted: 23 May 2016 05:10 PM PDT Any time I hit back, it goes to the main page instead of just going back. If I looked for someone and clicked on their pictures, the back button takes me back to the feed, not back to their profile. Is there a way to change that? [link] [comments]

[DEV] [Game] Blackjack with a skill-based ranking system Posted: 24 May 2016 01:31 AM PDT I'm a Android developer and released my first game to Google Play today. This is a Blackjack game, but the most addicting one you can play. It has a ranking system where you can be Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Master (each with 5 divisions). Everyone starts off at Bronze, and you work your way up on every match win, but you can also lose rank on a match loss. The algorithm takes into account house advantage, so the gain on a win is more substantial than a loss when you lose. I'd be interested in adding leaderboards if the app gets around 100 downloads. It's Ad-free and also free. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roweapps.rankedblackjack Any feedback is welcome. Thank you :) [link] [comments]
App that allow you to add radio stream urls? Posted: 24 May 2016 05:05 AM PDT I am looking for app that allow you to add radio stream url's. VLC Player has this option but it is not very good implemented, because it doesn't allow you to edit the url or to add a name for the station. [link] [comments] |
