Posted: 15 Jun 2016 11:23 AM PDT As we all know, Snapchat on Android is an extremely underwhelming experience. Photo and video quality is terrible due to capturing preview images, cameras are left on unnecesarily, and the app is a complete battery hog. Those are but a few of the problems and I won't belabor the point. However, despite the Android app being absolutely terrible for years now, the Snapchat team bans users who log-in through third-party clients. All the while, the company fails to focus on fixing image quality and other glaring issues in favor of minor UI changes. How can a company justify ignoring greater than 50% of the mobile market? How can they justify such anti-user policies when people seek to solve the problems they refuse to fix? [link] [comments]

Why Samsung's Galaxy Note faces no real competition? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 09:58 AM PDT Galaxy Notes are lovely devices and I see many people eagerly waiting for the launch of Note 7. I wonder why no other manufacturer is trying to compete. Is it so difficult to build a phone with a good stylus and a wocom digitizer? (LG stylus phones won't count as the stylus is too cheap and displays are crap) [link] [comments]

Why do apps like Clean Master have so many installs even though they do more harm than good? Posted: 15 Jun 2016 03:44 PM PDT I'm puzzled to see apps like Clean Master and GO Speed on the top 10 free apps in Google Play. Why are these apps being downloaded so much? Why are they rated so highly? I'm smart enough to know these stupid Ram Boosters and Cleaners don't do shit - they're pretty much snake oil. Every time I see a friend with an Android phone, they download a booster app and think it saves the day. Why does Google allow these in the Play Store. Can someone shed some light? Also I'm beginning to think Cheetah Mobile pays people to rate their apps highly. 4.7 stars with millions of installs is crazy. Not only that, but every time I One Star the app and leave a negative review, I come back a week later to see it has been modified to a 5 Star rating when I first rated it years ago. WTF? I've put a negative review more than once on Clean Master and every time I come back, it's gone. [link] [comments]

[DISCUSSION] Facebook has finally given me the messaging app I always wanted Posted: 15 Jun 2016 03:53 PM PDT I know this might not be the popular opinion around here. But, I love the new Facebook Messenger app. I finally have a SINGLE app that I can message all my friends from. (Between IM and SMS/MMS.) Also, text message chat heads are sooooooooooooooooo nice. What do you guys n' gals think of this update? I'm kreygasm AF right now. EDIT:
